Rome GI was established in 1978 founding the practice of gastroenterology in Northwest Georgia.  Since then, our single specialty group has focused exclusively on digestive health, fusing the art and science of gastroenterology. We provide a complete range of care for patients with digestive diseases and those in need of digestive wellness.  Throughout our history, the practice has been owned and managed by the physicians.  In 1990 we established the Rome Endoscopy Center, our endoscopic ambulatory surgical center.  There, we perform outpatient colonoscopy and upper endoscopy daily.

As a group we bring 49 years of diverse gastroenterology expertise to our practice.  Our physicians are credentialed at all local hospitals including Redmond Regional Medical Center and Floyd Medical Center.  We have a veteran staff of GI nurses, nurse anesthetists and office staff dedicated to providing a superior experience to every patient encounter.

In July 2016 we were pleased to add Dr. Ken Obi to our group.

“Because of the intimate size of our practice and the ability of our staff to communicate directly with us, we are able to address individual concerns and deal with it personally, without any third party. We are easily accessible, we try to address our patients concerns as soon as possible, without any delay.” – Roderick A. Remoroza, MD
